Air pollutants measurement sites

In order to monitor the air quality and smog on a continuous basis, the City of Montreal, the Ministère du Développement durable, de l'Environnement et des Parcs and Environment Canada operate a network of more than 40 measurement stations over southwestern Quebec. The pollutants that are monitored are ground level ozone, nitrogen oxides, sulphur oxides, carbon monoxide, fine particulates and some volatile organic compounds.
